BLOCKLIBRARY

Terms of use and content license

Effective October 3, 2026 · Version 2026-10-03-llc · Operated from Washington, United States

Block Library is operated by BlockLibrary LLC, a Washington, United States limited liability company, effective October 3, 2026. “Block Library,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean BlockLibrary LLC operating this service. These Terms govern accounts, contributions, and downloads requested through our download controls when you affirmatively agree. Public browsing does not require an account or constitute agreement by itself. The privacy policy describes data practices; agreement to these Terms does not authorize optional tracking.

Please review the warranty exclusions, limits on liability, and responsibility for third-party claims before agreeing. Mandatory legal rights remain protected.

Accounts and conduct

We do not impose a minimum account age or require an age declaration. Creating an account requires agreement to these Terms and a separate choice about account data use. You must have the legal capacity and permissions required for your participation and submissions, including any required parent, guardian, co-author, or other rights-holder permission. These Terms do not remove a minor's statutory rights, including any right to disaffirm a contract. A checkbox cannot supply missing ownership, permission, or legal capacity.

Protect your account and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. Do not submit malware, illegal content, stolen builds, personal information about others without permission, harassment, deceptive links, or material that violates others' rights. Do not bypass access controls, evade quotas, or interfere with the service.

Your content and license to operate the library

You retain the rights you hold in your content. For content you affirmatively submit, including files, descriptions, comments, and images, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, back up, scan, reproduce, transmit, distribute, and publicly display that content, and to make technical adaptations such as format conversion, resizing, thumbnails, and previews, solely to operate, secure, and provide Block Library. We may authorize our service providers to perform these activities for us, limited to this purpose. This license does not authorize unrelated sale of your content. Public sharing and visitor download permissions apply only to content submitted for public sharing. Private account data, including profile photos, remains subject to our privacy policy.

You represent that you own the submitted content or have all permissions needed for the licenses and uses described here; that your submission and our authorized use do not infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy, publicity, or other rights; and that the source, license, attribution, and permission information you provide is accurate. Identify the applicable license and source for schematics, worlds, mods, and other files, and include required notices. Do not submit content whose license prohibits necessary hosting, distribution, or preview generation. Neither you nor we can grant rights owned by someone else.

License for downloads

For rights you control in submitted files, you also authorize visitors to download, copy, import, and adapt them for personal Minecraft use. This default permission does not authorize commercial redistribution or use of someone else's trademarks, personal information, or other separately protected material.

An applicable third-party or open-content license controls the rights it grants. These Terms do not narrow CC0, Creative Commons, open-source, or other valid license permissions, impose additional conditions on exercising those permissions, or replace their required notices. The default personal-use permission applies only to rights the contributor is authorized to grant and where no separate license governs that use. Our service Terms do not relicense third-party software or content.

Review the file's license, source, format, and Minecraft version before use. Files are community submissions. Automated scanning and human review do not establish ownership or guarantee safety or compatibility. Back up your worlds and test unfamiliar files separately before importing or running them. Current downloads are free. External publishers may have their own charges and terms.

Removal and service changes

We may investigate, restrict, or remove content or accounts for violations, rights complaints, abuse, security, or legal requirements, and terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Use our private contact form to contest a decision or our copyright and content-reporting process for rights complaints. Moderation does not transfer responsibility for a submission's rights to us.

On removal, the operational content license ends except to the limited extent needed for lawful retention, backup expiry, and resolving existing claims, as described in our privacy policy. Removal does not revoke valid licenses already granted for downloaded copies, and we cannot recall those copies. These exceptions do not authorize new public distribution of removed content. Availability, features, and content may change or end, subject to applicable law and any specific commitments we make.

Warranty exclusions

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service, downloads, previews, and other materials are provided “as is” and “as available,” with all faults. We disclaim express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, malware-free, accurate, or compatible operation, or that a file will meet your needs or preserve your data. This exclusion does not override an express promise that cannot lawfully be disclaimed or any mandatory warranty or remedy.

Limits on liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from these Terms or use of or inability to use Block Library, including resulting loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or worlds, even if advised of the possibility.

For all claims arising from these Terms or the service, our total aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid us for the service giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability. This limit applies to contract, tort (including ordinary negligence), and other legal theories, only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for our fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability or statutory remedy that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit. Mandatory consumer, privacy, child-protection, and other legal rights remain available. Where a particular exclusion or limit is prohibited, it does not apply.

Responsibility for third-party claims

To the extent permitted by applicable law and your legal capacity, you agree to indemnify us for amounts payable to a third party under a final judgment or a settlement you approve, and reasonable legal defense costs, to the extent directly caused by your infringing or unlawful submission or your material breach of these Terms. This obligation does not cover losses caused by our negligence, misconduct, breach of these Terms, or violation of law, and does not restrict lawful exercise of an applicable third-party license or your mandatory rights.

We will give you prompt notice of a claim, provide reasonable cooperation, and allow reasonable participation in its defense. You are not bound by a settlement or admission made on your behalf without your written agreement. We cannot require you to waive a defense or pay unreasonable costs. Failure to give prompt notice reduces your obligation to the extent it materially prejudices your defense.

Third parties and intellectual property

Block Library is not an official Minecraft website and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft branding and game assets belong to their respective owners. Our schematic preview artwork and simplified geometry are independently created representations and may differ from the game. The Minecraft EULA and usage guidelines apply to your use of Minecraft. External sites have separate terms and policies; a link does not imply our endorsement or control.

Applicable law and disputes

Washington State law governs these Terms, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections or the right to use a court or remedy available under the law applicable to you. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, or an exclusive court location. Contact us at rodman@stuhlmuller.net or through the private contact form about disputes; contacting us first is not a condition of exercising legal rights.

Changes and continuing provisions

This version identifies BlockLibrary LLC as the operator. Earlier agreements and rights or liabilities arising under them are not retroactively rewritten by this change.

We may update these Terms. Updated versions show a version and effective date. We provide additional notice or request renewed agreement only where required by applicable law. This version applies prospectively from your agreement; it does not rewrite earlier agreement records or retroactively alter accrued claims. We retain the version presented with this agreement and the previous version.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent lawful. Applicable download licenses, provisions governing claims arising during your use, and the limited retention rights described above continue after account closure or service termination to the extent their purpose requires. Nothing here creates permissions withdrawn under applicable privacy law or revives removed content.
